Past, Present and Future Improvements for Hidden Lake
Updated: August 2022
Security Cameras:
We are continuing to make headway on the installation of security cameras at the front entrance of the neighborhood, as well as at the open end of the lake to help monitor any unwanted visitors.
Canal Vegetation Dumping and Algae Treatment:
A very important request for those homeowners who live along the 4th Ave canal: Please do not dump any trimmings or vegetation into the canal, and please relay this message to your lawn service. We have received numerous complaints from homeowners along the canal that vegetation is being continuously dumped/blown into the canal and is creating a severe problem with algae growth, as well as being an eyesore to homeowners.
Our water management company, Solitude, has been out to treat the algae in the canal on two occasions within the last month, most recently August 2, 2022. They also have done a water analysis on both the canal and the lake water, and both have resulted in good ranges according to their water analysis.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for making our Hidden Lake waterways as beautiful as possible.
Lake Shoreline Erosion:
For those who live on the lake and have concerns around shoreline erosion, please check out this webinar recording from our lake management company, "Tips to restore your shoreline and prevent erosion".
